Peer Supervision
Peer Supervision
Although Savvy is a qualified Counsellor, he finds it very easy to "switch hats" and knows how important it is to "UN-learn" clinical practice to be able to deliver Peer Supervision. Before becoming a Counsellor, Savvy went through his own recovery journey from poor mental health and worked for many years as a Peer Supporter to help others within his community. Savvy has extensive knowledge about Lived Experience Peer Support and how to apply Lived Experience in a safe and ethical way to assist others through the lens of a holistic approach and not a clinical one, but also explain how both disciplines can compliment each other within mental health care.
Savvy makes Peer Supervision feel very comfortable and relaxed, and during your Supervision session, you can discuss topics such as the values and principles of peer work and the how to apply these in practice. We can also explore ethics, peer frameworks, and de-identified situations to explore best practice and outcomes while working within relevant Policies & Procedures of an organisation (If applicable).
Supervision can take place online, in your workplace,* or while we grab a coffee and go for a short walk*.
* Only within 30km of Mount Barker, SA.
