Savvy is known by his Skin name which is "Japangardi" (brother). This was given to him by Kuminjay BM, who was a genius song writer, talented musician, a valued elder of the Ali-Curung and Tennant Creek townships in the NT, and a respected Warlpiri man of Central Australia.
